Dan Levin, Managing Director
Dan Levin serves as the Managing Director of Capital Real Estate, LLC where his duties include the oversight of community acquisitions, asset management, investor relations, and the corporate obligations associated with the management of CRE. Mr. Levin’s 20 years of multifamily experience includes property management, development and acquisition analysis, conversion, and investor relations.

Prior to joining CRE Mr. Levin held the position of President of Koelbel Property Management for five years. During his tenure Mr. Levin’s responsibilities included the direct management of a $.5 billion portfolio comprised of over 3,200 multifamily units located in the Denver metropolitan area. The portfolio was comprised of properties in which Mr. Levin represented the principal-owner, third party owners and homeowner associations. His duties included the oversight of on-site management teams, financial analysis of operations, budgeting, marketing, acquisition analysis, and client relations.
Prior to joining Koelbel, Mr. Levin served for 15 years as the Vice President of The Feld Company, a multifamily developer in the Denver area. His responsibilities included the oversight of the management division, development and operations analysis, marketing, budgeting, financial reporting, and client relations. The company developed over 3,400 units in the metro Denver area, including the prestigious Palomino Park Resort and The Breakers Resort. In addition to managing the development portfolio, Mr. Levin had oversight responsibilities over additional third party management and oversaw the conversion of Silver Mesa at Palomino Park, a 264 unit townhome project from its inception in 2001 to 2003. During this process he served as Broker for the principal and managed the sales and marketing teams, and served as the President of the homeowner association.
In addition to Feld and Koelbel, Mr. Levin’s clients have included Wellsford Real Properties, Invesco, Heitman, MIG, GE, Bascom Group, and TIAA-CREF. Mr. Levin received a law degree and an MBA from the University of Denver. He has served on the executive committees of the Colorado Apartment Association and the Apartment Association of Metro Denver where he has been active in legislative issues.

Brad Neiman, Executive Vice President
Brad Neiman is a 42-year veteran of Denver commercial real estate who specializes in the acquisition and disposition of investment properties. The value of transactions in which he has been involved exceeds $1 billion. Mr. Neiman's background in the development, ownership, leasing and management of income properties makes him uniquely qualified. Brad joins the Capital Real Estate team with responsibilities for the acquisition of multifamily property investment opportunities.

Brad has long been recognized as an expert in the commercial real estate field and has received numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding performance in the Denver real estate market. He has been quoted for many years as an expert source in newspapers and magazines including The Denver Post, the former Rocky Mountain News, Denver Business Journal, Colorado Real Estate Journal, Real Estate Alert, and Commercial Property News. Brad has also appeared on numerous panels as a market expert for real estate organizations including Colorado Real Estate Journal Property Conferences, NAIOP, Denver Commercial Real Estate Network, and CBRE Market Forecasts. Awards received include recognition as a top producer for CBRE for 1990-1998, multi-year recognition as a "Heavy Hitter" by the Denver Business Journal, and identified as a member of Who's Who in Denver Real Estate.
Prior to joining Capital Real Estate, Brad's career included real estate brokerage responsibilities with CB Richard Ellis, Iliff Thorn, Marcus and Millichap and Inverness Properties. Brad had management responsibilities as regional manager for Iliff Thorn Company, and Mile High Properties. Brad also demonstrated development capabilities with Bennett & Kahnweiler Associates and his own company Brad Neiman Associates.
Following a term of active duty in the United States Army, Brad attended the University of California at Berkeley. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in finance and accounting. Over the years Brad has served on numerous boards including NAIOP, DMCAR, Fleisher Smyth Brokaw, Brokers Benefiting Kids, and Boulder Junior Soccer.
Brad has continued to find time for financial contributions and service to the community. For 15 years he served on the board of Brokers Benefiting Kids. This group raised millions of dollars which was contributed to charitable organizations providing programs and support for at risk children. Currently Brad works as part of "A Group of Friends" which for over 10 years has selected a K-8 school located in a lower income part of Denver and provides gifts and entertainment to all of the school's children as part of a Christmas time celebration.

Amie Robertshaw, Associate Asset Manager
Amie Robertshaw serves as the Asset Manager for Capital Real Estate, LLC, working closing with property management companies to ensure the best financial results on each asset. With 10 years of experience in the multi-family industry, Amie has an extensive background in the daily operations of property management. Her proven ability to lead and motivate teams, increase revenues, implement unique expense controls and generate successful marketing strategies makes her a valuable addition to CRE.

Prior to joining CRE, Amie was a Business Manager for Alliance Residential where she operated a 600 unit property with annual revenues over $6.9 million. Her duties included oversight of financial operations, budgeting, marketing and on-site management team.
Prior to her most recent position at Alliance Residential, Amie has also worked for Indigo Real Estate Services and Collier Enterprises. She has successfully managed new construction, renovations, student housing and affordable apartment units.
Amie graduated from the University of Florida and is an active member of the Apartment Association of Metro Denver.

Rick Ciantar, Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions
Rick Ciantar is the Acquisitions manager for the Capital Real Estate team where he is responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of apartment Deals. Rick has approximately 10 years experience in the multi-family industry in the areas of acquisitions, remodels and the underwriting of new developments.

Rick started his career in Multi-family with Fairfield Residential underwriting new developments on the East Coast and existing acquisitions. Fairfield is one of the largest privately held multi-family development and management companies in the United States with around 55,000 units. Rick learned valuable knowledge of the industry during his time here. From there he progressed into an Acquisitions role with Carmel Partners where he was responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of multi-family assets in the Denver Market. Carmel is one of the largest apartment owners in Denver with about 10,000 units under management. While at Carmel Rick was responsible for the purchase of 248 units in Littleton, Colorado. After Carmel Partners he went to work for a start-up development company where he was responsible for sourcing existing acquisitions and distressed debt.
Rick has a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State College with a major in finance where he graduated in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia where he is originally from.

Kadra Knudson
Kadra Knudson is the Accountant for Asset Management for Capital Real Estate, LLC. She brings over twenty-five years of accounting experience in the fields of development, property management, construction, architecture, landscape architecture, and asset management. Her breadth of experience makes her a valuable team member for CRE's investor accounting and as the accounting liaison with the property management companies. In addition she is involved with acquisitions, financing, investor relations and with CRE’s CPAs.

The majority of Kadra's work experience came from her 15 years as the Controller for The Feld Company, a Denver real estate development company which built and managed many premier apartment communities in Denver. She helped the company grow to over 3,400 developed units including The Breakers Resort and Palomino Park Resort as well as various third-party management properties. Partners and clients included TIAA-CREF, Allied Signal, US Air, Wellsford Real Properties and Koelbel and Company. In the last three years of her tenure at Feld, she worked as a sales associate for the condominium conversion of one of the company communities.
Prior to joining Capital Real Estate in February of 2010, Kadra spent 6 years as an accounting consultant for landscape architecture and architecture firms involved in their commercial, single-family, and multi-family businesses.
Kadra has a BSBA with a double major in finance and accounting from the University of Denver. |
